Czech national team
Jiří Šmejkal has been the head trainer of the Czech national team since 2005; his assistant is Vladimír Sehnal. The current national team has been created progressively since the 2005 European Championships in Oradea, Romania with regard for changes in the international rules, which, unlike Czech rules, permit only one ball drop. This has produced certain changes in the game and higher demands on individual players with respect to technique and physical endurance. The realization team is lead by manager Kamil Kleník and also includes masseur Petr Lukáš and keeper Vlastimil Pabián. The current national team is composed of the following players:

The
final national team line-up will be determined following the final
two training camps in Nymburk and is also contingent on the current
health status and playing form of each player.
The
trainer must officially announce the individual line-ups for all
disciplines on Thursday, 20 November 2008 at the technical meeting of
the heads of world championship teams.
